The Deputy Chief Ministers are Rajendra Shukla, the current Minister of Public Relations and a legislator from Rewa, and Jagdish Devda, the Finance Minister and two-time legislator from Mandsaur."I am a humble party worker," Mohan Yadav said in his expression of gratitude. I want to thank the central leadership as well as the state leadership. I will work to carry out my duties with your love and support,' I said, following my nomination as the Chief Minister.
The names of the winning legislators were discussed during the meeting by BJP observers, which included National Secretary Asha Lakhda, BJP OBC Morcha President Laxman, and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
In the previous Shivraj Singh Chouhan government, Mohan Yadav was the Minister of Higher Education and was supported by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.Just ten days after winning, the saffron party defeated the opposition wave in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, taking 163 out of 230 seats. It was announced that Mohan Yadav would be the next chief minister. For the first time in twenty years, the BJP ran candidates without a chief ministerial face in the elections. At least 14 rallies in the state had been addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Yadav succeeds Sundarlal Patwa, Uma Bharti, Babulal Gaur, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the fifth Chief Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following his swearing-in. Chouhan served as Chief Minister for over sixteen years."
