On January 23, 2024, Oneplus has confirmed that the Oneplus 12 and Oneplus 12R smartphones will go on sale in India and other international markets. During the video celebrating its tenth anniversary, the company made this announcement.

For the first time in the series' history, Oneplus also confirmed in the video that the Oneplus R series lineup will be sold outside of China and India.

Oneplus stated that it has established a registered community of more than 50.2 million users to date and that it has expanded into more than 50 markets globally.

Oneplus saw a 59% increase in device sales globally by the end of October 2023, and a 40% increase in sales in India over the same period the previous year.

Oneplus recently started a unique 10-year celebration as a way to thank its users for their ten years of support, cooperation, and loyalty. The video showcased Pete Lau and Carl Pei, two of Oneplus's founding members, getting together with friends to talk about the brand's ethos of challenging market conventions, creating high-quality, user-centric technology, and adhering to its 'Never Settle' philosophy.

"In 2013, we were a small team, but we had big ideas about making better products," Oneplus founder Pete Lau said. Although a lot has changed since our modest beginnings, a lot has remained constant. Oneplus will always remain true to its roots as long as we uphold our "Never Settle" ethos."

Oneplus's chairman and CEO, Kindar Li, expressed his satisfaction with his involvement in cutting-edge modern technology research and development over the previous ten years. ​

"Oneplus 12 and Oneplus 12R are designed to prove that a smartphone does not need to be labeled as "Plus," "Pro," or "Ultra" in order to offer the best hardware specifications and software experience," the company said.

Rather, the flagship Oneplus 12 and Oneplus 12R smartphones each have distinctive features that allow users to decide what they really need in a smartphone.

The Oneplus 12, which debuted in China earlier this month, has a new 64MP 3x periscope lens, a 4th generation Hasselblad mobile camera, and the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform.

Renders of the Oneplus 12R have surfaced, rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

On January 23, 2024, at 7:30 PM IST, Oneplus Smooth Beyond Belief will launch both flagship phones. The phones will be sold as usual on Amazon.in, Oneplus.in, and physical stores.
