By introducing its Oneplus 12 at a special event in China to commemorate the company's tenth anniversary, Oneplus has advanced. Among the most potent new phones is the Oneplus 12, which comes with the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. After being dropped from the Oneplus 11, wireless charging is back, and the company's most recent flagship has an IP65 rating against water jets and dust.
The Oneplus 12 has an amazing 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate that can be adjusted from 1 to 120 Hz and a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels. The display improves visibility with a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits for HDR content or up to 1,600 nits for regular use. It is made with panels manufactured by BOE. A 2,160Hz PWM dimming feature and a blue light filter that leads the class are noteworthy features.
Moving to the back, the focal point is a camera setup branded under the Hasselblad name, with a 50MP primary shooter that uses a dual-layer stacked IMX808 sensor from Sony. A 24mm equivalent f/1.7 lens is used with this sensor, which has an OIS and 1.12μm pixel size, in the Oneplus 9's open model. In addition to the main shooter, there's a 64MP telephoto module with a 48MP ultrawide camera and an IMX581 sensor, providing 3x optical zoom and 6x lossless magnification through in-sensor zoom.
Based on Android 14, ColorOS 14.0 powers the Oneplus 12, and it may launch as OxygenOS 14 for global markets. With a 5,400 mAh dual-cell battery, the phone has the biggest battery seen in a Oneplus phone to date. It also works with OP 12 to support the newest 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. It can charge at up to a scorching 100W for those who prefer the more traditional wired method.
